Privacy Policy

• Account data — name, email address, and password (stored hashed) when you register.
• Query photos — images you upload to run a search. By default these are processed and discarded after the search and are not stored as a permanent copy unless a product feature (such as your private library) requires storage with your consent.
• Library photos — images you choose to save in your account library or import from a connected service you authorize (for example Google Photos).
• Index sources — publicly available or opt-in images and related metadata (such as source URL and domain) used to power search matches.
• Usage and technical data — approximate logs such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and diagnostic events needed to operate and secure the service.
• Payment data — if you subscribe, payment is handled by our payment processor (for example Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

• Provide face and reverse-image search results and account features.
• Operate alerts, monitoring, opt-out, and support tools you request.
• Improve reliability, security, and abuse prevention.
• Communicate about your account, billing, and important service changes.
• Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use.

We do not sell your personal information. Search results are labeled as possible matches only and are intended for self-monitoring, privacy, and legitimate rights enforcement.

When a photo contains a detectable face, our systems may generate mathematical face embeddings (numerical representations) used only to compare similarity against our index. These embeddings are technical search features, not human-readable identity documents.

You should only upload photos you are authorized to use. Do not use FaceMatch to harass, stalk, or unlawfully identify other people.

We may share information with:

• Service providers who help host, process payments, send email, or analyze traffic.
• Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
• A successor entity if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer.

• Query photos are discarded by default after processing.
• Account and library data are kept while your account is active.
• Index and opt-out records are retained as needed to operate and honor removals.
• Logs may be kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.

• Update profile details in your dashboard profile.
• Request removal of indexed URLs or domains via Opt-Out.
• Delete library photos you no longer want stored.
• Disconnect third-party integrations you previously authorized.
• Contact us to request account deletion or a copy of personal data we hold about you.

We use essential cookies for authentication and may use analytics or advertising tags (such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel) when configured by the site operator. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

FaceMatch is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). Do not create an account or upload photos of children without lawful authority and consent where required.

We may process data in the United States or other countries where our providers operate. By using FaceMatch, you understand that your information may be transferred to those locations.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
